The inaugural Nova Garage Africa Forward Summit, set to take place in Nairobi on May 11, 2026, will bring together 500 of Africa's most promising tech entrepreneurs with international investors and industry leaders. The landmark event aims to spotlight the continent's rapidly evolving technology ecosystem and create direct pathways for investment and partnership opportunities.
Africa's Growing Technology Ecosystem
The summit emerges at a crucial time for African technology development. According to the African Development Bank's 2025 Tech Ecosystem Report, investment in African startups reached $6.5 billion in 2025, marking a 40% increase from the previous year. Kenya, in particular, has established itself as East Africa's technology hub, with over 200 active startups and a combined valuation exceeding $2 billion.
"This summit represents a watershed moment for African tech innovation," says James Mwangi, CEO of Digital Africa Initiative. "We're not just showcasing individual companies – we're demonstrating the continent's collective potential to lead in global technology solutions."
Investment and Partnership Opportunities
The event will feature specialized tracks focusing on fintech, agritech, healthcare innovation, and sustainable energy solutions. According to summit organizer Sarah Odhiambo, participants will include representatives from major venture capital firms, tech multinationals, and development finance institutions. "We've confirmed participation from over 50 international investment firms with combined assets under management of $30 billion," Odhiambo states.
